HOT TOPIC: LEADERSHIP

Everyone knows how important it is to have a good manager in order to thrive and perform in the workplace. Let’s take a look at some of the things you can do to help your managers become great leaders.

New Workshop: PI-Powered Leadership

Being an effective manager and a great leader requires self-awareness and a great toolbox. Humanostics’ new hands-on workshop ‘PI-Powered Leadership’ empowers managers to use PI’s Talent Optimisation framework to define roles, hire top performers, and keep them engaged. Participants will gain self-awareness and skills to improve team dynamics. Key takeaways from the workshop include improved decision-making, increased emotional intelligence, enhanced communication, and increased empathy and trust. The workshop can be delivered face-to-face (one day) or virtually in one or two sessions. Read more HERE or contact us to learn more.

The LPindex 360-Degree Survey

In a partnership with The Leadership Pipeline Institute, Humanostics offers the Leadership Performance Index survey, LPindex, is an online multi-source / 360-degree feedback system that brings together views from a leader’s direct manager, peers, direct reports, and other relevant

stakeholders. It is uniquely designed on the basis of the Leadership Pipeline concept and it enables the organisation to assess leaders on the actual job that needs to be done rather than abstract theoretical leadership competencies. Unlike many similar tools, the LPindex differentiates between leadership levels and how each leadership level uniquely adds value. The LPindex survey supports leaders in accelerating their development by understanding to what extent they have successfully transitioned into their leadership roles and mapping the leaders’ strengths and weaknesses in their current roles. It provides 360 degree feedback on how the leaders perform as leaders and indicates the potential of the leaders to step into a higher leadership level. The result is significant improvement in the leaders’ alignment of self-perception with reality. Mitigating AI-Driven Cheating on the PI Cognitive Assessment

To mitigate AI-driven cheating on the PI Cognitive Assessment, The Predictive Index have made two adjustments to the Cognitive Assessment site, which went live on August 20, 2025: They have eliminated the ability to copy text from the Cognitive Assessment site meaning a candidate cannot copy or paste content from the assessment into an AI tool. Secondly, they have implemented blurring of the Cognitive Assessment site should a candidate navigate away from the Cognitive Assessment as their primary window. This prevents a candidate from having ChatGPT open in one window and the Cognitive assessment in the other. The Predictive Index monitors the cognitive scores on a continuous basis, and there is no evidence of AI-driven score increases. As always, we recommend having a short follow-up conversation with candidates and take note of their reaction to questions like ‘How did you approach the questions?’ and ‘Which types of question did you prefer or find most challenging?’. PI’s research shows that only about 4% of test-takers attempt cheating at all, and the timed format and the implemented technical barriers make the use of outside tools (AI included) impractical. If you suspect cheating, you can retest under supervision (on-site or via webcam). A potential sign of AI use is near-perfect verbal/numeric scores with very low attempted and/or correct abstract results – but this is an indicator, not proof. In short, there’s no evidence that AI is affecting CA results. The best practice is simply a short follow-up conversation.

PI Software Pro-Tip: Give Managers Access to Their Team

By giving managers access to view the assessment results of their team members in PI Software, you allow them to pull reports themselves and actively use behavioural data in their day-to-day interactions with their team. Your software admin can restrict access to other data by creating the appropriate folder structure and managing user access. Check out this guide to user and folder administration.

NEW WEBINAR: GETTING STARTED WITH PI

Humanostics is launching an introduction webinar for new PI users called ‘Getting Started with PI’. The webinar is designed for new users of the PI methodology and software, and attendees will receive a high-level overview of talent optimisation, the PI assessments, and how to effectively navigate the software. The session also provides a brief overview of practical applications within the workplace. Please note that this webinar is a primer and not a substitute for Predictive Index training and workshops.
